Most of Princeton's social scene is centered on the eating clubs. Each club has its own separate social budget, and in many cases this social budget is directly controlled by the clubs undergraduate government. These student officers organize a wide variety of social events for their members. On any given weekend each club offers different social opportunities, not only to their members but also to the Princeton campus as a whole. Many times the clubs will bring in famous DJs, bands, comedians and other forms of entertainment from across the country. Each club holds "members-only" events, which might include; Formals and Semi-formals, live music, movie nights, study breaks, field trips, mini-golf, trips to theaters, paint-balling, etc. There are also many social traditions at each club. Every year clubs host what is known as "Houseparties," where the clubs hold a 3-day long event which includes some combination of formals, semi-formals, carnivals, and ends in a Sunday afternoon live band performance open to the campus.
